Born in Nagoya in 1973. Started modern ballet at the age of 7.

She started questioning herself with ballet’s patternized expressions and its demand for beauty.

She became attracted to the Butoh’s power, and its energy that can transform ugliness and dailiness into a dance.

She joined Waguri Yukio and Kozensha from ”Nichigetsutan” in 1992.

Her charm is her strong presence in simple scenes in which she shows a lot of expressions with her back to audience placed like an object on a sculpture board, or in which she simply comes out walking.

She has been a freelance dancer since 1998.

Her solo works are:

Butoh-hime (Princess of Butoh) (´98), Tsukusemi (´97), Tansu (´98)
